Privacy Policy
This policy describes how JoCoding, Inc. (“we”) handles information for TripPatch — the iPhone app and this website, trippatch.jocoding.io.
TripPatch is a travel journal. Original photos, stickers, and pages stay on your iPhone. We do not run a TripPatch server that receives those originals.
Sign in with Apple is required to use the app. Product analytics go to PostHog. The app measures installs and a small set of conversions with AppsFlyer (Strict SDK, no IDFA). This website uses the Meta Pixel. Meta ads are measured through AppsFlyer’s partner integration, not a Meta iOS SDK.
Who we are

Privacy and other requests: mu07010@jocoding.net. We have not named a separate privacy officer; that mailbox is the contact for access, deletion, and advertising opt-out requests.

Sign in with Apple
You must sign in with Apple to use TripPatch. Apple authenticates you. We receive a stable user identifier from Apple. If you share a name or email, we may store those on this device. Hide My Email is Apple’s feature; we only see the address Apple gives us.
Signing in does not upload your journal to JoCoding. Deleting the app removes the on-device account link with the rest of the local library.
Photos stay on the phone
Capture, peel, pocket, and page editing run on the device. We do not operate a TripPatch backend that stores your originals. If you turn on personal backup, the file lives in your iCloud Drive (or the app’s local Backup folder). You delete that file in iCloud or in the app; we cannot reach into your iCloud from here.
Product analytics (PostHog)
Unless you are running our automated tests, the app sends product events to PostHog in the United States. Events describe use of the app (for example onboarding, capture, stickers, pages, export, and the Pro product ID). They are not your photos.
Deleting the app stops new events from this device. Email us if you want us to delete a support thread or record an ads opt-out.
Advertising (AppsFlyer and Meta Pixel)
We use AppsFlyer and Meta so we can run and measure ads for TripPatch.
- On this website: Meta Pixel may record that the page loaded, plus technical data such as IP address, browser, and device type, and ad click identifiers if you arrived from an ad. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track skip the Pixel.
- In the app: Release builds with an AppsFlyer Dev Key may record installs and opens, onboarding or Apple sign-in complete (
af_complete_registration), TripPatch Pro purchase complete (product IDcom.jocoding.trippatch.pro.lifetime, value USD 4.99), and sticker saved. Debug builds and automated tests do not send AppsFlyer events. We do not clone the full PostHog event list to AppsFlyer. - The app does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt and does not collect IDFA. The AppsFlyer SDK is the Strict variant with no AdSupport. Apple’s SKAdNetwork identifier

We do not send original photos, journal pages, or sticker images to AppsFlyer or Meta. We do not sell your information for money. We do share events with AppsFlyer, and AppsFlyer may share conversion data with Meta as an ads partner. That is “sharing” for advertising under US state privacy laws.
Choices: browser controls and Meta’s ad preferences for the website Pixel. You can also email mu07010@jocoding.net and ask us not to use your information for ads. We cannot control Meta’s own ads account if you are logged into Facebook or Instagram on the same device.
Purchases
TripPatch Pro is a one-time In-App Purchase through Apple. Apple processes payment, tax, and refunds. RevenueCat tells the app whether Pro is unlocked so Restore Purchases works. Family Sharing is enabled for this product on the App Store. We never see your full card number.
How long we keep it
- Journal on the iPhone: until you delete the trip, the item, or the app.
- Personal backup files: until you delete them in iCloud Drive or the Backup folder.
- Sign in with Apple on device: until you delete the app or remove the account on the device.
- PostHog events: until we delete the project or the vendor’s retention window ends. Deleting the app stops new events from this device.
- AppsFlyer attribution events: kept by AppsFlyer under AppsFlyer’s terms. Meta Pixel events: kept by Meta under Meta’s terms. We do not host a copy of your photos there.
- Apple / RevenueCat purchase records: as long as needed to restore Pro and for Apple’s accounting.
- Support email: as long as needed to answer you, then we delete the thread from our mailbox when it is no longer needed.
Deletion
Delete the app to remove on-device trips, photos, stickers, and the Apple sign-in link stored there. Delete personal backup files in iCloud Drive yourself if you created them. Apple handles refunds for Pro. Email us if you want us to delete a support thread or to record an ads opt-out. We cannot delete a copy we never received (your camera roll, your iCloud Drive).

Those companies receive what they need for that role. We do not sell lists of users. Information sent to Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, AppsFlyer, or Meta leaves Korea (if you are here) and the device, and is processed outside Korea.
Your rights
You can delete the app and delete backup files. For anything we hold in email or in an ads account we control, email mu07010@jocoding.net. Say whether you want access, correction, deletion, or to opt out of ads sharing.
We do not keep a server copy of your journal, so we cannot export a cloud diary we do not have. Saving a photo or sticker to Photos, or sharing it, is how you copy work off the phone.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on: contract (to provide the app you asked for, including Sign in with Apple and purchases); legitimate interests (product analytics, security of this site, ads measurement without IDFA); and consent for the website Pixel where a consent banner applies. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
If you are in California or another US state with a similar law: we do not sell personal information for money. We may share identifiers and events with Meta for cross-context advertising. Email us to opt out of that sharing. We do not use sensitive information to infer characteristics beyond what the app needs to run.
Children
The App Store age rating is 4+. Sign in with Apple requires an Apple ID, which Apple issues under Apple’s own age rules. TripPatch is not aimed at collecting personal information from children for advertising. Do not create a journal of someone else’s child without the right to do so.
Security
Journal files stay in the app sandbox on the iPhone. Calls to PostHog, RevenueCat, AppsFlyer, Meta, and Apple use encrypted transport. No method of transmission or storage is perfect. Keep your own backups of pages that matter.
Automated processing
Subject detection uses on-device Vision. It does not decide legal or similarly significant effects about you. It only suggests a cutout.
Changes
We will update this page when the app or this site changes how information is used. The date at the top is the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy, except where the law requires consent.
