Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and JoCoding, Inc. (“we”) for the TripPatch iPhone app and the site trippatch.jocoding.io. Apple is not a party to this agreement, except as a third-party beneficiary as described below.

By downloading or using TripPatch you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

The app

TripPatch lets you photograph or pick a picture, peel a subject into a sticker, place it on a journal page, and keep that book on your iPhone. Original photos, stickers, and pages are stored on the device. We do not run a TripPatch server that holds those originals.

The app is licensed, not sold. The license is personal, limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable, except where Family Sharing applies to TripPatch Pro.

Sign in with Apple

You must sign in with Apple to use TripPatch. You need an Apple ID in good standing. We use the identifier Apple gives us to recognize you on this device. We do not operate a TripPatch account server and do not sync the journal through CloudKit.

If Apple suspends your Apple ID, you may lose access until it is restored. Deleting the app removes the on-device library and the local sign-in link.

Your content

You keep whatever rights you already have in photos, text, drawings, and layouts you add. You are responsible for that material. Do not use photos or text you do not have the right to use, including other people’s children or private places.

Because the journal stays on your phone, we do not take a license to host or publish your pages on a JoCoding server. Saving or sharing a page or sticker is something you do on the device. If you post one somewhere else, that is your doing.

Keep your own backups of pages that matter. Personal backup, if you use it, writes to your iCloud Drive or a local Backup folder. We are not liable for lost journals, failed backups, or a lost phone.

Purchases

TripPatch is free to download. TripPatch Pro is a one-time In-App Purchase (com.jocoding.trippatch.pro.lifetime) sold through Apple. There is no TripPatch subscription. Apple’s terms govern payment, tax, and refunds. Restore Purchases is in Settings, under the Pro card. Family Sharing is enabled for this product.

The free version is limited to one trip, five days, and 30 stickers. Pro removes those limits. Limits may change; the app shows the current ones.

A lifetime license lasts for as long as we offer TripPatch on that Apple ID. It is not a promise that the app will exist forever, or that every future feature will stay free of other charges.

Acceptable use

• Do not reverse engineer the app except as the law allows.
• Do not try to bypass Pro, the free limits, or Sign in with Apple.
• Do not use TripPatch to break the law or to infringe someone else’s rights.
• Do not attack this website or the vendors named in the Privacy Policy.

We may stop providing the app, or refuse service, if you break these terms.

Advertising

The site uses the Meta Pixel. The app measures installs and a small set of conversions with AppsFlyer and does not include a Meta iOS SDK. The app does not show an Apple tracking prompt and does not collect IDFA. Details and choices are in the Privacy Policy. Ads do not change who owns your journal.

No warranty

TripPatch is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that peel, Vision, MapKit, backup, or restore will always work. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

If a warranty that cannot be disclaimed still applies and TripPatch fails to conform to it, Apple’s standard Licensed Application terms apply: Apple may refund the purchase price of the app or of TripPatch Pro, and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple will have no other warranty obligation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, JoCoding, Inc. is not liable for lost journals, lost profits, or indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for a claim about TripPatch is limited to the amount you paid for TripPatch Pro (if any) in the twelve months before the claim, or ten US dollars, whichever is greater.

Some places do not allow these limits. In those places, the limits apply only as far as they can.

Apple’s role

You and JoCoding, Inc. acknowledge that:

• These terms are between you and JoCoding, Inc., not Apple.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for TripPatch.
• JoCoding, Inc. is responsible for addressing claims relating to TripPatch, including product liability, legal or regulatory claims, consumer protection, and claims that TripPatch infringes a third party’s intellectual property, to the extent required by law. Apple is not responsible for those claims.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo, or on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

When these terms and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement conflict on a subject Apple requires, Apple’s EULA controls for that subject.

Intellectual property

TripPatch, the wordmark, and the app’s design belong to JoCoding, Inc. or its licensors. These terms do not give you those rights, only the license to use the app.

Governing law

The laws of the State of Delaware, United States, govern these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections of your place of residence still apply where they must. Courts in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law gives you the right to sue where you live.

Changes

We may change these terms by posting a new version on this page. The date at the top is the current version. If a change is material, we will try to notice it in the app or on the site. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the new terms, except where the law requires extra consent.
